History

Shaull Elementary School, through its several iterations, is the oldest elementary school still educating students in the Cumberland Valley School District. Land for the first Shaull School was donated by Henry and Mary Shaull in 1878. The original Shaull one room school house opened in 1912 and was located on Wertzville Road. In 1931, a four room Shaull School opened on Good Hope Road. Later in the early 1960's, the Shaull School was renovated and expanded. In 1991, Shaull Elementary was renovated and expanded once again. The new Shaull Elementary opened in the 2008-2009 school year on Shaull Drive and Wertzville Road.
