Shaull Elementary PTO needs your help! We would like to offer many exciting opportunities for the children at Shaull. However, to make that happen, we will need many volunteers. Please consider helping out. Everyone can make a difference!

Volunteer Clearance Information

Family Fun-draisers
Description: The committee organizes with local area businesses to offer special nights where Shaull families can purchase items from that business and a portion of the purchase is donated to the school. Volunteers are needed to coordinate the events with area businesses and advertise to the families. 
          Activities- Chick-fil-A Night, Sweet Frog Fundraiser, Al's of Hampden, etc.

Garden Team     Information
Description: This committee will visualize, design, install, maintain and utilize the first Shaull School Garden, an edible garden designed to enhance learning with hands-on lessons in the established science curriculum of seed, soil and science.

Green Team - Chair Needed 
Description: This committee will help educate our children about what we can do as a school community to help the environment, which will also empower them to make beneficial changes in our own households. Volunteers are needed on Green Days to assist in the cafeteria and with the annual plant sale.

Helping Hands
Description: A committee of parents designed to help out teachers with small tasks such as cutting or laminating items for class activities. It may be a task that can be completed at home.

Hospitality
Description: This committee offers different options of donating and/or serving food (American Education week, conferences, PSSAs, etc). You will be contacted in advance for your availability for the upcoming events. A great volunteer opportunity for bakers! Or as simple as picking up pre-ordered food.

School Perks
Description: The committee organizes opportunities for Shaull families to purchase tickets at a discounted price, i.e. Hersheypark, and for families to benefit Shaull with bonus points through Giant Card or Box Tops. Duties include collecting & fulfilling orders.
          Giant A+ Rewards     Parents Letter      Letter for Family/Friends       
          A unique and easy program that Giant Food offers its customers opportunities
          to be rewarded by earning money for their designated schools.
          Registration begins Sept 11. Program runs Oct 6, 2017 - Mar 15, 2018.
          Box Tops For Education (BTFE)     Information     Box Top Sheet
          Collecting box tops is a great way to earn extra cash for Shaull
          by cutting out and sending in box tops. Your school’s Box Tops Coordinator
          will mail them to BTFE so Shaull can get cash.
          Hersheypark       Tickets
          Families can purchase park tickets through the school to get a group discount price.

Service
Description: The committee is in charge of PowerPacs, food drives, community charities, etc.
          Soup for Super Bowl
          Description: Setting up containers & donating canned goods collected
          during the week before the Super Bowl.
​          Veterans (Azalea) Charities
          Description: The team is in charge of distributing coin jars to the classrooms
          & collecting the jars of donated change for the military charity chosen.
          This occurs the week prior to and on Veterans Day.

Yearbook    5th Grade Letter
Description: The Communications Officer of the PTO steers the committee in collecting photographs and organizing the yearbook that each student may purchase at the end of the year.
