Volunteer Clearance Information

After-School Clubs- TDB
Description: Various groups meet periodically after school and are run by parents and/or teachers. Details of the schedules will be released throughout the year. Suggestions for new groups are always welcome, i.e. a Garden Club for this spring.
          ASL (American Sign Language)- Fall & Spring,
               Description: Children learn about deaf culture, conversational ASL, and play games.
          Bricks4Kidz- Fall & Spring,
               Description: Children use LEGO® Bricks to build models, play games and explore engineering and movie-making.
          Girls on the Run- Spring
               Description: A program for girls in grades 3-5 to promote positive body image and self-esteem.
          Hip Hop Club- Spring
               Description: Students learn basic hip-hop dance choreography from the CV Dance Team.
          Mindfullness- Winter, new this year
               Description: Students learn of and practice mindfulness and yoga.

Boys Night Out- November 4, 2018
Description: All Shaull boys have a fun event. They may invite any special adult to take to the event. Volunteers are needed for planning and chaperoning the event.​

Fall Party & Costume Dance- October 26, 2018     Information           
Description: The dance provides all Shaull students and their families to dress up in costumes and dance the night away. Volunteers are needed for planning, decorating and chaperoning the event.

Family Events- Roller Skating, Ice Skating, Bowling TBD
Description: Shaull families can enjoy activities together throughout the year. 

Girls Night Out- February 1, 2019   
Description: All Shaull girls have a fun dance night. They may invite any special adult to dance with them. Volunteers are needed for planning, decorating and chaperoning the event.​

Fun Run- October 12, 2018    Information     T-Shirt Sizes/Donations      Schedule
Description: A major fundraising event where students & parents can participate in a walk/run during school hours. Volunteers are needed to track corporate and individual donations, get t-shirts for the event, promote the event, plan entertainment during the event and coordinate volunteers.

Holiday Movie/Parents Night Out- December 7, 2018     Information
Description: A night out for parents while students enjoy games, crafts or a movie at Shaull. Volunteers are needed to help plan and run the games, crafts, setup/clean up, provide snacks and select an appropriate movie.

Music in Our Schools- March, 2019    
Students are encouraged to celebrate "Music in our Schools Month" by singing or playing an instrument at the school. Contact the school's music teacher for details of the event. 

Room Parents for Parties     RP Guide
Description: Parents volunteer to take charge in organizing the Fall Festivals & Holiday classroom parties. Contact your child's head room parent to volunteer.

Science & Engineering Fair- March 12, 2019     Information    Project Packet
Students of all grades can build and submit a science or engineering project. Projects are judged the day before and displayed for family and friends during the fair.

Shaull Spring May Fair- May 10, 2019            
Description: Our spring fair requires a lot of volunteers. At least two chairpersons are needed for this event. There are also several subcommittees that help with the school fair. We will need help with the following subcommittees: Raffle Baskets, Tickets, Food, Sweet Shop, Volunteers (organizing), Games, Prizes, Set Up, and Clean Up. This is one of the only two opportunities we have to raise funds for PTO.

Spirit Wear Sale- Nov, 2019         
Description: Sports wear for sale online only during one week in the fall. Families have a choice of Shaull or CV logo. Volunteers are needed for organizing sale through vendor, inventory choices and communications to Shaull families.

Talent Show- TBD           
Description: Students will showcase their talents during an after school event. Volunteers are needed for set design, organizing auditions, setup/cleanup, back stage help, and concessions.
